Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

ATX Devs LLC, a Texas limited liability company, operates Fire the Pool Guy and firethepoolguy.com (the "Site"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit the Site, request the free weekly checklist, purchase or use the Fire the Pool Guy kit, sign in, or contact support.

The Site and its products are currently offered only to customers located in the United States.

2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to process and manage memberships, grant and secure product access, save your pool setup and test history, send sign-in and service emails, send the free weekly checklist you requested, provide member support, process cancellations and refunds, understand how visitors use the Site and move through the purchase funnel, improve usability, diagnose technical problems, prevent abuse, maintain business records, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. When you arrive from a Google ad, we use Google Ads to measure whether that ad led to a membership purchase; we do not build advertising audiences from visitors or purchasers. We do not send marketing email based on a purchase. If you opt in for the free checklist, we send the requested email, which includes information about the paid membership. We do not add the address to a recurring marketing sequence.

4. Service Providers and Disclosure

We disclose information as needed to service providers that operate the Site and fulfill purchases. Cloudflare provides hosting, security, access records, data storage, and email delivery. Stripe provides Checkout, payment processing, receipts, and refunds. Amplitude provides product analytics and session replay. Google provides advertising conversion measurement on the home page, the DIY pool care page, and the post-purchase page. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets. We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for their own advertising.

5. Cookies

The Site uses an essential, signed session cookie to keep purchasers signed in. It is set after you use an emailed sign-in link, is not accessible to client-side scripts, and expires after one year.

Amplitude uses analytics cookies and browser storage to assign a random device identifier, maintain a session, attribute visits, and retry events that could not be sent immediately. These technologies are used for product analytics and session replay, not targeted advertising. On the home page, the DIY pool care page, and the post-purchase page, Google Ads sets a cookie that records whether you arrived from a Google ad, so a later purchase can be counted toward that ad; we send Google only the fixed purchase amount and an order reference, never your name or email address, and we disable remarketing. You can block these cookies through your browser settings or manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com. You can block or delete analytics cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may cause repeat visits to be counted separately. Blocking the essential sign-in cookie prevents purchaser-only features from staying signed in.

6. Retention

We retain membership, entitlement, saved pool setup, and test-history records while needed to provide the product and support reactivation, unless you make a valid deletion request. Checklist opt-in records are kept until you request deletion. Short-lived support and sign-in rate-limit records expire after twenty-four (24) hours and two (2) minutes, respectively. The browser session cookie expires after one year.

We retain email audit records, support correspondence, analytics and session-replay information, and other business records only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, product improvement, accounting, dispute resolution, enforcement, and legal compliance. Stripe, Cloudflare, and Amplitude apply their own retention practices to information they process.

7. Your Choices and Requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your membership or checklist opt-in by emailing hello@firethepoolguy.com. We may need to verify that you control that email address. We may retain information when required by law or reasonably needed for security, accounting, disputes, or enforcement. Deleting an entitlement record ends access to the Kit.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, signed authentication tokens, restricted service credentials, and access controls. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children

The Site and Kit are not intended for anyone under eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the product or our practices. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to hello@firethepoolguy.com.
